We're all in the dance【歌手介紹】Feist本名Leslie Feist，1976年出生在加拿大的一個寧靜小城卡爾加利，自幼喜歡音樂。 在高中，她和幾個同樣喜歡搖滾樂的朋友組建了一支朋克樂隊——Placebo，有意思的是這和現在英國十分走紅的那支朋克樂隊有著相同的名字。
正當Feist準備有更進一步的發展之時，她的嗓子卻因為莫名的疾病不能發聲了，面對這個打擊Feist幾乎放棄了她的音樂人生涯。後來她四處尋醫，終於在多倫多找到了一位醫生並治好了她的病，於是她決定離開家鄉卡爾加利並搬來多倫多開始全新的生活。
在多倫多Feist租來的小小的寢室中，她開始利用一台破舊的四軌機為自己錄音，而此時她所演繹的音樂已經有了很多的改變。一把吉他，還有簡單的歌聲，這就是來自Feist的新嘗試，做一個民謠歌手，她開始學會在低處生活。
後來Feist加入了當地的By Divine Right樂隊並且開始逐漸被更多的人知道。 在1999年她錄製了第一張屬於自己的專輯——《Monarch (Lay Down Your Jeweled Head)》，清新的民謠歌曲，彷彿重獲新生。 之後她又加入了後搖樂隊Broken Social Scene，並且憑藉專輯《You Forgot It in People》一鳴驚人。
